Thumbelina

How do you find your freedom and the courage to decide for yourself where in the world you want to go, when you are no bigger than a thumb?

In collaboration with the English director Alex Byrne, we present a new version of Thumbelina by Hans Christian Andersen — the story of the girl who can comfortably sleep inside a walnut shell. It is the tale of a girl swept away by the current, abducted through the air, and imprisoned beneath the ground.

“Thumbelina” is a harsh, touching, and humorous ensemble performance — told and performed in a botanical stage setting by four actors using music and puppetry.
