BUTiK

A Tomatolife

The youngest audience (the 0-4 year old and their adults) will experience an almost wordless story about the life of a tomato plant. We visit a greenhouse and suddenly a tomato plant starts to grow. The audience gets to water. Maybe a butterfly sits on your food? But everything living must die at some point and after the beautiful red fruits has come - the tomato gets yellow and brown and falls down. In the middle of the sadness a new seed is germinate, and everything can start over. A story about where the tomato comes from but also about circularity in life. The story of life and nature for the youngest audience. The music used in the performance is made by Jacob Gurevitsch. The performance is made with sustainable materials all the way. Everything is made by trash and reuse, and the ho

Why is it night?

A poetic tale of light and darkness, dreams and magic – for children and their adults! Based on the creation myth, Raven steals the light, which originates from the Haida people (British Columbia, Canada) darkness is staged as a magical space for strange appearances and transformations. The myth tells how Raven succeeds in returning the light to a world swallowed by darkness. Through magic, visual theatre, and music, the tale is retold, and the darkness is tamed. A custom-built and light-sealed dome forms a theatre space that embraces both stage and audience. A cave where total darkness can be created – a traveling fragment of the night. Please note! Although complete darkness occurs in a few scenes, the performance is created with young audiences in mind (from 6 years). CREDITS: Idea, cre

Amygdala

Welcome to Amygdala – a performance and an (im)possible experiment For children aged 3–24 months and their caregivers Let us begin a journey together back to a time and a place that have already passed. To do so, we must imagine the unimaginable. We travel through flesh, through thought, through memory. Back to our very first capacity to sense. Before words. Before meaning. Feel the walls around you. The water. The sounds. The light. Travel backwards through time. Through flesh. Through memory. Through sensation. Back to where sensation began. In Amygdala, the very youngest children, aged 3–24 months, and their adults are invited into a sensory, fleshy universe where light, sound, and movement unfold as a journey back to our earliest experiences. Here, heartbeats become rhythms, breath bec

Sausage!

A playful, physical, and musical performance A cleaning assistant moves her mop across the floor with precise movements. Suddenly – whoop! – a fluffy dog named Pølse! (Sausage) jumps out of the cleaning cart. Dogs are dirty, the cleaning assistant thinks, so the dog has to go out. But Sausage wants to play. Slowly, a friendship develops between two opposites that is both funny and touching. Sausage! is physical and musical performance that celebrates play and its special ability to create presence, relationships and connection. Iscene - review ☆☆☆☆ It's probably the combination of comedy and music – and the really cute dog created by puppeteer Katrine Karlsen – that makes Pølse! the fine and fun fusion show it is. - The show's physical gags with a floor mop are eye-catching. And the playfu

WHO DECIDES? – a play about diversity and friendship

Who decides which play is better? Who decides what is beautiful and what is ugly? Who decides whether I’m right or wrong? A playful and exploratory performance where visual images merge with physics and music, creating a sensory and humorous tale of a friendship that sprouts in spite of – and because of – differences.

CHICKS

Hilda is quick and Gump is heavy - but also brave. Together they go on an adventure with ups and downs. They develop their flying skills & a magic trick: laying eggs. On their journey living as free birds they start to doubt; do they still need each other on the other side of the cage? Funny, fast and fearless full of physical excellence this nonverbal clown performance will explore themes of freedom, captivity, sisterhood & the longing for recognition. Thumbelina

How do you find your freedom and the courage to decide for yourself where in the world you want to go, when you are no bigger than a thumb? In collaboration with the English director Alex Byrne, we present a new version of Thumbelina by Hans Christian Andersen — the story of the girl who can comfortably sleep inside a walnut shell. It is the tale of a girl swept away by the current, abducted through the air, and imprisoned beneath the ground. “Thumbelina” is a harsh, touching, and humorous ensemble performance — told and performed in a botanical stage setting by four actors using music and puppetry. Cast: Maria Myrgård, Maja Skovhus Rehøj, Bastian Popp, and Dirck Backer Director: Alex Byrne Set Design: Filippa Berglund Composer: Bastian Popp Puppet Maker: Sigurd Dissing Lighting Design: El

4. pladsen

’4. pladsen’ h
